Hi,
I appear to be running into compatability issues with this one. I'll be playing quite happily and then the screen locks up, also get a sound loop. After a few seconds it seems to sort itself out until fifteen minutes later when it repeats it again. When I've gone back to desktop there is a vpu recover message. I've tried disabling cat a.i. but it doesn't help. If there's someone who knows of a fix or a patch that would be much appreciated. I did reinstall 9.4 simply because I've had a very minor issue with the 9.5 on something else, but evidently it hasn't helped.

I maybe able to help as I had issues running this last week in XP home, may also work in Vista but I never tried.

I also had issues with running the game till I ran it with the affinity set to one core. But I found I couldn't alt-tab out of the game as it always quickly switched from task manager back to the game. I found I had to set the affinity after clicking the game icon but fast so I could set the affinity before the game fully loaded.

I also think I disable the audio hardware as I though that may have been the issue and I can't remember if I turned it back on after doing the affinity thing.

*Have now installed and begun playing again. Looks quite a bit better so thanks for the link. Did you get the sky flashing different shades of blue (this was before and after I used your link). Anyway it hasn't given me any other problems yet so fingers crossed :)
