Opinions on these games to a newbie.

I have played a short quickie on 1 and 3 I think? Maybe demos?

As off today which are still playable and worth buying if any.

ANd how would you describe game compared to modern titles? eg similar games?

yeh well I heard system shock 2 was amazing but I tried to play it recently it looks so bad

also I wanna play AVP2 I heard its good and I have it on cd from ages ago

As for system shock2 if you dont have video shops to rent it from you can also to rrent it from non local video shops
