Last year my number plates go cloned! I had 2 speeding tickets from the centre of birmingham in a matter of two weeks! I had police breathing down my neck and i was trying to prove my innocence but they wernt having any of it!

1 week later got a knock at the front door at 3 a.m and the police were out side, wondering if i had just performed a ram raid of a tesco in Alrewas, as the security camers caught the number plates on a red ford focus (bearing in mind i drive a black C2). I was like ummmm nope. Only then did they believe that it wasnt me getting the speeding fines, so i had my slate wiped clean and havnt heard anything since! Been pulled a few times though....
 
Your V5 or V11(?) has to be presented along with a form of I.D : photocard drivers liscense/passport has to be presented in order to have new plates made. So its not as simple as to wander in and ask for a certain reg to be made up :p why the D.I.Y number plate kits are now illegal too!
