Just got an odd request from my bosses, they've been looking at thin clients for users to remote to our virtual servers.
As we're currently in an exclusively dell environment they looked at dell thin clients (I don't believe i'd be allowed to link so google if you need to see their page), and decided to ask me if i could spec them one instead.
Here are the specs of the thin client:
Now it doesn't need to be as small as those, however keeping it down in size would be beneficial, also as i'd be building it a small build could be interesting.... (Or fiddily as hell?).
So here are some of the criteria:
Parts must be reliable (branded)
Parts must be available for a while to come (No 5 year old tech)
Dual screens preference
Sound preferable
Cheaper than £400 (Rough quote from our dell client manager).
EDIT: And keyboard and mouse support (Would normally go without saying but i could see a situation where these are used as video output only really)
EDIT2: Would likely be using a form of linux on it, for price.
First im going to go see if i can do a direct comparison of the dell spec to the cost of the parts, however if you guys can help me in any way i'd appreciate it.

EDIT: Copying spec wasn't really working from a table
We were looking at the Dell Optiplex FX130 Thin client.
