Hi there,
My job is changing to likely include more travelling. Currently I use a 17" M6300 from Dell, which includes the power and screen real-estate I need, however comes at the cost of weight and portability (can look very unwieldy in customer's offices).
I am considering replacing it with a newer ~12-13" laptop with less weight, and complementing it with a 17"+ external monitor.
The idea would be that the 12" comes around with me during the day. The 17" lives in my suitcase until I hit the hotel room in the evening, at which point out it comes and I can work and game and relax without peering at a tiny small screen.
What I need from this monitor is:
1) 17"+
2) Low physical size (read: THIN) and ideally low weight.
3) Decent resolution.
4) Nice to have: Ruggedizedin some way to prevent damage from travelling.
Does such a monitor exist?
Many thanks.
