Ok so every so often my keyboard stops working or gets stuck on W so goes WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW until I unplug it, plug it back in, and reboot.

Also today everything booted up fine but no audio. Everything looked fine from cables to amp to device manager. Reboot fixed it.

Now the computer has started the last few days it won't shut down, it just hangs on "shutting down" with the little circle going round and round so I have to force it to shut down which is a pain because my gigabyte keyboard is not recognised at POST so I have to wait 30 seconds before it boots.

What is worst is that SSD's don't like it when you just turn the power off, which is essentially what I am having to do every time I turn it off.

I am wondering if my PSU is failing?

Try running a full AV / Malware check.
If it comes back clear can you roll back through windows to see if there have been any recent updates that have borked something?

Mine will do this on the mouse and keyboard. It will hold a key im currently pressing (say in Counter Strike) make the disconnect sound, sort of half crash my pc then come back.

Its really strange. doesn't happen to often though so just shrugged it as one of those things.

NOD32 - nothing
malware bytes - just this - PUP.Optional.OneClickDownloader.A which I said to remove but it said "it did nothing"

OK was playing BF4 fine, suddenly it closes. I notice my network icon in my taskbar flashing so I reboot and it is still doing it - it seems to be going from identifying network - no network access in a cycle once per 1 second? NEVER seen this happen before. Not my router - i am posting this on my laptop connected via wireless (the pc is wired cat5).
