Things I've done in VR that have freaked me out

Playing Dead and Buried and had my vape in my left hand. Took a toke and freaked out that I didn't see any vapour in VR.
Tried to vape my Touch controller
Leaned forward, thought I was going to bang my head on a pillar in VR, corrected and fell backwards.
Threw the actual controller (thank god for the wrist straps) in Bullet Train when throwing bullets back at the enemies.
Took off headset and sat down, tried to grab my mouse by gripping the Touch controller I still had in my hand harder.
When playing non-VR content I keep trying to look around things on my monitor.

Played onward on Sunday. Took the pin out of my grenade and threw my controller full force at the wall, missing my 4K TV by inches.

I was playing paddle up against the AI today when I heard the doorbell, so I instantly put my touch controllers on the table in front of me to remove the headset. The table that only existed in the game.

Good thing the touch controllers are quite resilient things.

Its amazing how many glimmers of realism you can experience in VR.

not wanting to stand up inside a Porsche 911 in PCars of fear of hitting my head on the roof.

Feeling like I was about to be tackled by an american footballer in vr sports.

Bullet train, arriving at the station and those soldiers seemed real for a second as the doors opened. Sense of presence was amazing.

Boogeymen genuinely got me when I ran out of battery power and the monsters came.lol

The lab - standing on the mountain and saying to myself I know this isn't real but I couldnt jump forward.

War thunder, putting a spitfire into a nose dive and my stomach went and I felt a genuine rush.

As for hitting things I have the guardian on which breaks immersion but I only have a small area so its needed. I've still managed to gently tap a wall and a radiator cover with the touch rings.

So far.....
I've punched my wife in the chest ( her fault she walked past me while I threw a grenade lol)
Punched my TV
Punched my ceiling and light bulb multiple times (I'm 6'6)
Tried to lean on things that were there in game
Tried to rest my controllers on things that were there in game
Tried to squeeze in between the counter and wall on escape bloody Mary when I could have just walked through the damn thing
Freaked out when the floor breaks away in the lab on the robot level ( not a fan of heights)
Tried to press the buttons on the chairs in big screen beta
My daughter tried to lean on a table in nvidia fun house and fell face first.
She also tried to chase a basket ball in rec room and ran into the TV unit
Tried to dodge things coming at me or falling on me
Tried to feel the grass in golf club vr
And I'm sure there is more but can't remember lol
Its crazy how even though you know it's not real you still try and touch things or move out the way etc
I hit a ball at another player on paddle up and he ducked out of the way and screamed as it came towards him lol

Not played on it in a while due to house move but...

Tried to lean on the table in Pool Nation, caught myself before the inevitable happened.

Ducked under the desk in Job Simulator to look in the bin. Pulled my head out the same way. After realising what I had done, I did the same thing in Vacate the Room half an hour later.

First experience of motion sickness/discomfort. Started playing dreadhalls only to literally start pouring with sweat and feeling ill after 5mins. I come out of the game and I am fine again after a few mins.

The spinning left and right is making the game very difficult to play. :(

Stick with it. I was the same when i first used vr now i can play anything with impunity.

Definitely will do. I cope quite well in everything else I have tried just not dreadhalls. May have to try and play the game standing up and turn myself rather than using the controller for spinning.
