Things that freak you out

People putting contact lenses into their eyes, or removing them, or indeed sticking anything in their eyes. Can't watch that at all.

I started wearing contacts two weeks ago and on Thursday, a contact got lost in my left eye. I checked and checked and couldn't find it. Went to get eyes checked because my left eye was basically red raw/bloodshot as I had been hoaking so much and the optician said that I had scratched the cornea of my eye and that there was no contact lens there  Must've fallen out. Never again will I wear contacts.

I cannot handle people walking up the stairs behind me.. even if it's a large, well-lit flight of stairs... I have no idea why.. but if someone starts walking up the stairs behind me something inside me just goes: OMFG RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!

Really? I thought it was a given that people in healthcare had the ability to stomach it.

People in healthcare can stomach it fine - if you can't, you won't last long. It's freaky if you're not used to it, and people who work in the field are the most qualified to tell you how disgusting it really is, but I may have misrepresented those two facts as one - that people in healthcare are freaked out by the disgusting human body. My apologies.

Dash of pepper and a drizzle of vinegar, yum. Why do peopel think eating prawns raw is weird?

It is weird!
The prawns you bought would have been cooked the same as pretty much all prawns you buy unless you actually get specifically raw prawns!
The prawns are normally cooked and then frozen when still on the boats at sea!

Flying really freaks me out. I understand the physics but my prehistoric subconscious is still screaming "YOU'RE 36 THOUSAND FEET UP IN THE AIR IN SOME KIND OF METAL BIRD AND YOU WILL DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH!"

Damn you prehistoric subconscious. Damn you to hell.
