Lor glass coffee jar.
Worst example ever of form over function.
The glass lid is nearly impossible to remove from the Jar, such that if you use brute force, a significant portion of the contents can end up shooting out all over your worktop, or you get it off a little bit and then you have to use a teaspoon to prise it off the rest.
And if you decide to only put the lid semi down to make it easier to get off next time, when you go to lift the jar, 50% chance that you grip it mostly by the lid and it comes off and guess what, a significant portion of the contents ends up all over your worktop.
Grrrrr!!
I have had similar problems with Douwe Egberts coffee jars too tbf... luckily only covered my kitchen counter in instant coffee once so far though. I like to keep hold of the jars and store other stuff in them though, so worth the squeeze
I'm not talking about opening for the first time, I'm talking about every time. You are using a knife to score the stickers holding the lid down before attempting to take hte lid off right?
However on that note, cornflour packets. Never try and open them without using a knife/scissors. I covered half my kitchen in flour a few weeks ago.

I tried Douwe Egberts coffee once. The glass jars drove me nuts and I avoid them now.I have had similar problems with Douwe Egberts coffee jars too tbf... luckily only covered my kitchen counter in instant coffee once so far though. Green Energy fanatics
It seems to be the default way a lot of young people use phones these days in any scenario. They will put the phones speaker up to their ear or mouth and walk around talking with them on full speaker volume. I see people get on the train and do entire journeys just talking or doing video calls on speaker phone just coz they're bored.I could tell you loads about passivhaus construction. It's one up from being a green energy fanatic. A house so well designed and insulated that you could theoretically not need any heating requirements at all and and through minimal ventilation maintain a constant 20 odd degrees throughout the year!
