Hi guys

I work from home and my wife looks after our little one all day. I wan't to get out the house for a few hours after I finish work with my daughter to give my wife a break and get me out the house, but I'm really struggling to find anything to do round Stoke-on-Trent after work hours. Every kid's activity centre seems to close at 5/5:30 pm.

It's still a bit too cold for any outdoor activities. I was hoping there would be somewhere open we could go to play and do activities.

Any ideas?

1. I don't drink.
2.Personal attacking another member is not allowed-schizo

Just go for a walk with baby in a buggy. Just seeing things outside is enough for a little one.

Yeah we usually go for a walk during my lunch break. We could go see the ducks at the nearby lake I suppose, keep her wrapped up in her buggy.

Seconded on the walks. Now that it's lighter in the evenings thanks to BST I have taken to bringing mine to a local park with baby swings etc if we are both restless.

There's something that happens to some people when they become parents. They undergo some sort of transformation whereby they become irrational and highly aggressive. Seems you've just encountered it.

We mostly just walk, see the birds and bugs, talk about stuff as we wander. The lighter evenings are great. If its a cold evening just put a snow suit and hat on.

Feel sorry for the baby
