As the title suggests, I'm looking for fun thigs to do in Weybridge tomorrow evening, meeting someone there, but I've been told to decide what to do, despite never having been there before

So we're looking at probably around 7ish, somewhere quite nice, pool, bowling, live music in a cafe or something, or even jsut somewhere nice to go for a walk.

I'm open to all suggestions...except the motor museum, which is all Google seems to be offering :p

Hand and Spear, legendary amounts of totty (on a Friday night at any rate). However I feel you may be meeting a girl, so this is probably a moot point. Moooooo.

There's plenty of good food in Weybridge, so that's easy to recommend (including a great Tapas place that we saw Peter Crouch eating in a few weeks back).
As for general 'stuff to do', you'll probably be out of luck, Weybridge really isn't that big and doesn't have a local bowling alley, dancing clubs etc.

Yea, can't say it'd be a good idea to turn up and spend the evening gawking elsewhere, unles sit all goes incredibly badly hehe

that was going to be a follow up question, so food's all good in Weybridge then? hehe
guess it'll have to be a quiet meal and drinks, next time I'll invite her to Crapnell and force her to decide what hole to dive in here :p

Put a truck on it. Recieve weight.
?

Anyway, as mentioned, the Hand and Spear is a lively, large Gastro pub with a good menu. They have a quieter restaurant area if you want to be a bit more romantic.

For absolutely top quality Tapas, I can strongly recommend El Mason de los Hermannos, but you'll have to book as it's very popular, and can be a bit pricey (that's where we saw Crouch and Clancey eating a few weeks back). She'll be very impressed with that place.
Opposite is a family run simple Italian called Giannis. We spent New Years there and had a great time - food is excellent quality Italian and not expensive either.

Have fun!

fantastic advice guys, now here's the kicker, she's now suggesting Woking ¬_¬

So unless there's something fantastically awesome in Woking, we'll probably just end up having a meal in Weybridge somewhere hehe

And as it's a first date, I'm not going to some massively fancy restraunt of the stars, it could go one of two ways, amazingly, and she expects the same constantly, or terribly, and I'll have wasted money, though so far she doesn't seem like either option, so we'll play safe and go with somewhere pleasant, decent priced, and quiet

Woking is a dump - please do not go there - it's full of cheap pubs and nowhere decent to eat.

Weybridge is the exact polar opposite - classy, quiet and a bit posh, much more suited to a first date!

Hand and Spear would probably get my vote - it's easy to find as it's right next door to the train station, and has enough of a vibrant atmosphere that it won't be too quiet (but I would still recommend going to the back of the pub where the restaurant area is). Plus it has a good variety of food and is pretty decent on prices so it's unlikely you'll stuggle to find something you don't like - they do a great burger, for example.

Yea, I've got friends from woking, and they all class it as a hole lol, though there's laser quest ;D nothing more romantic than running around in the dark shooting each other in the face :p

this sentence is not possible. I think I can hear the universe crumpling.
Dinner date down the bottom of peacocks. She'll have plenty of choice from KFC, McDonalds and many more.

sweet, then we can share a bottle of white lightning and smash her pasty behind the nearest bus stop :D

I used to live near Woking and go there drinking on a Friday night many years ago. It's a total pit of cess, unless you like stuff that is SO bad it's good, like Quake 'nightclub'. Weybridge is a much better bet if you want a nice evening.

Be lucky to get away with that on a first date

She should feel privileged the place isn't called the Hand and Fist. :)

Under the tripod is where it's at. Or on the plane

No one would have believed, in the early years of the twenty first century, that the OP was being watched keenly and closely by perversion greater than man's. OOOOOOOOOOOOOO-LLLLAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I'm not sure how to take this, she's decided we're going to Woking so I don't have to travel as far  this is an unusual first lol, I've advised her on the apparent crappiness of Woking, but we compromised, play some pool/bowling whatever in woking, then go elsewhere for food.

Sounds like a plan to me, and she's willing to go to a hole to make travelling easier on me (which frankly I'mn not bothered about) so things are looking up already hehe
