Their theatre is quite good.

Also, Bakewall pudding in the tearooms, essential.

We hired a cottage on a farm, which was awful, cold and no hot water.
The second time time we had a house with a Aga, couldn't work out how that worked.
Aww I love agas they are awesome, though they should have left you instructions as the do take getting used too. We will definitely be having bakewell tart. We`re probably wanting more a b&b than a cottage on a farm.

There is 'Go Ape' in buxton.

A lot of nice caves, speedwell (you go into the cave via a boat) , blue john etc, near by at Castleton which is also a lovely place to visit. Only place in the UK that has Blue John ( A stone)

Matlock and Matlock Bath. Brill on a nice Sunday, Motorbikers from all over go there. It is like a sea side front without the sea. Loads of chip shops, penny arcades etc.

Bakewell. Lovely Town, especially suited for tourists.

Dovedale and Ashbourne very nice.

Tissington Trail if you are into biking.

Lady Bower reservoir. Where the Dambusters was filmed and they practiced the Bouncing Bomb routine in WWII

Pools Cavern as well in Buxton.

Mam Tor, a big mountain to climb.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

The Opera House is nice, you may get chance to see a good show and the Olde Clubhouse next door does nice ales and food.

Why ty for those tips here h
