What things have you found out recently that you never knew about?

I'll start

Defibrillators actually stop your heart and not kick start it as I thought they did. Your body's natural pulse is what kick starts the heart again after getting a defib shock.

Coke is the brand name for cola, same with pepsi

Fanta was created by the Germans during WWII because they couldn't get materials from the US for their Coke drink. They had to make something else so they came up with Fanta. Kept the factory going during the war
