Suggestion would be will be received, ram was chosen at random and I'm not a 100% about needing the 8800gtx, may drop it down to the 640

Up to you on the graphics card. To be honest, I'd switch the ram out for at least the GeIL Ultra PC-6400.

I will be doing CAD and renderign work at Uni, thats why I went for the quad, and why I originially wanted 4gb. Also I doubt i would be doing much overclocking, I would like to but i doubt i would ever get round to teaching myself how to.

I also think I chose the hard-drive random, I'm not really sure how big a one i need, so may go down to 320gb, but one of the voices says that 500gb is the best GB/£ just now, again suggestions for that.

cheers all. I'm gonna have a long think about the GTX but i have ages till i order (maybe bout a month/late august so i can spend a while building it rather than stressing in 2days before going to uni) but unless AMD gets their new CPUs out by then and sort out their GPUS (all of which i doubt), I dont think anything/much will be changing.
And with all the changes so far its only costing me an extra £7 :)

Some-one said there's no point in my spending all the much on a rig, but if you notice its more or less the cheapest/midrange components that I'm getting.
Hows the OVuk GTX? I take its a generic brand? i also noticed its igher clocked than one GTX i looked at.

edit: one last thing, are the speakers any good? I suppose not having a dedicated sound card will have its limit, but is there anything wrong with them that an average ear would hear?
