Think thats fixable and how? Can you re-face monitors?

Not my current monitor, the monitor I have now.. I had two of and my brother came to my house and didnt pack his monitor right and being the good older brother I gave him my spare one (this is probably over a year ago now) and I've just given my little 19" monitor to my gf to use.. I need to stop giving monitors away.

Over 115mile journey between my house and my brothers, it slid around a bit, the silly **** didnt secure it properly.

It may be possible to repair, but depends which layers have actually been scratched.

Most LCDs have the LCD sheet at the front of the panel, and if this gets scratched, it is not worth trying to repair.
Some may have a plastic sheet over the front of the panel, which would protect the actual LCD.

Best thing to do is take the monitor apart and see whether there was any protective sheet which took the brunt of the damage.

Cool I will do :) I only want it as a spare monitor for the moment anyway.. just for running a few apps while playing games so its not really for looking at.. more glancing

Hey that looks an asus moniter! looks just like mine....without the massive crack.

I take he is a street racer, my OH whom is a yank from calif used to street race, I think he is a terrible driver, coming back from holiday about 2am in the morning on the motorway he thought it would be fun to take photo's of himself breaking uk law going over 100mph.

And i don't think you can fix that monitor.

anything can be fixed for money, another thing is you might be better of buying one, lcd screens should be available to buy. I'd rather get one of the shiny monitors of OCuK :D

I was driving not him, he doesnt have a licence.. I had the baby in the car to so I wasn't driving fast, he just literally let it sit on something thatd scratch it so going round a few corners did the trick D:
