I've only had the board since May and I'm a bit confused about how I managed to kill it. I had unplugged the power cable and added in my new X-Fi, but when I plugged the power back in the board went BEEP BEEP ... BEEP BEEP ... BEEP BEEP and then went dead. I didn't get time to check the LCD for a code as its hidden behind cables and I was more concerned about the beeping. Anyway I don't know if there is a universal code for mobo beeps but can people suggest a reason for the board dying like this? Power supply is new-ish and still works I believe as I can hear it switch on and off. I'm staying with my parents for the week and the only other PSU here is crammed inside a tiny HP computer so I can't really get at it very easily to test my board. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I should add that I get absolutely nothing from the board now - nothing on the LCD display, no response from pressing the on button, nothing from clearing the CMOS. PSU is an A.C. Ryan Ryanpower2 550W.

Ok

Ok please ignore this thread as possibly one of the most silly threads/1st posts ever made. Just realised that I'd somehow managed to pull the atx cable out of the PSU. It must've been loose before, leading to the beeps I suppose. Not that I think anyone else will need this kind of advice, but if you're feeling a bit stupid then beware of modular PSUs :D

I did something like that too about a year ago. Was fitting my new 6800gt and it wouldn't boot into windows at all. After 30 minutes i realised that the ide cable on the motherboard popped out, i couldn't have seen it before as the inside of my case was(and still is) a mess. :)
