I got really freaked out because I did a whois and it said it was registered by eNom.
I've only got limited experience with domain registrations so I thought eNom had parked on my domain and were going to try and sell it back to me.
It was only when I did an eNom whois that I realised it was still registered in my name!
The whole reason I didn't get a reminder through from my host was because I wanted to leave them as they screwed me over last year on the renewal.
Think I'm going to get TSOHost to do a transfer tonight.
Essentially there's only a few top-level registrars (eg. Opensrs who 123-reg / Fasthosts use iirc) and their name ultimately shows on a whois as the registering agent, but that doesn't impact the legal owner of the domain at all.
