Last night it died on me and when it restarted it wouldnt boot. :mad: So i was trying different memory combination as i have 4 sticks. Got 2 of them to boot on their own on the left channel and two wouldnt. With one that would in and one that wouldnt on its on it wouldnt boot so i though great only the memory.

SO i stuck the 2 that wouldnt boot in the left bank and no post. Stuck them in the right bank and it boots :confused:

Memtest shows no errors have i really killed another board??

Now my bios has just failed had to do a recovery from the hard drive !!

Is your NB correctly seated and non of the clips broken? My board turned up on sat but the heatsink was loose as there was a broken holding clip :(

Have sent back for an refund and I'm waiting for the p35_ds3p rev2 to come in as lots of people seem to rate them. I'm in no real rush to build one up but it's teasing me having all these bits lying around the study!
 
Seem to have got it sorted now after messing with some different memory.
Is it me or does there seem to be a probelm with this board and the ballistix well 4GB anyway. Seem to work no problems booting with 2gb in everytime just a bit funny with 4Gb:confused:
