Think I killed my mobo?

So got my Accelero S1 today, fitted it but in order to put it back in the mobo (P5B Deluxe) I had to move a PCI wireless card down 1 slot to make way for the GPU cooler. So did that and turned it on and nothing. No post whatsoever.

To cut the long story short it turned out it was the wireless card half inserted in the PCI slot. I made sure 100% that it's in but somehow after I put the GFX in it poped out of the socket.. Anyway I've tried to reset CMOS, remove battery, then eventually stripped the whole thing apart with just the GFX, CPU, cooler, and 1 stick of RAM in but still nothing. It powers up fine but there is nothing on screen and no beep. Have not tested it further than that as I'm out of ideas.

So my question is could that have fried the mobo (always thought it's a lot tougher than that)? Is there anything else I can do or should I just accept the lost and move on?

Also I have a raid 0 setup on the mobo's ICH8R south bridge, will moving to say a P35 based mobo with ICH9R lost my setup or will it just pick it up as soon as the SATA ports are configured to Raid?

Thanks and sorry for these many questions just a bit frustrated atm.

Try firing it up with no RAM fitted. Sounds daft I know but I have revived 2 PC by this trick from what sounds like the same symptoms you have. It has to bleep then, or it is no more.

ZOMG you were right about the RAM I've been trying all 4 sticks individually again in each socket and turns out one of my ballistix kits is playing up again!

Almost ordered a new mobo just now as well! God I feel dumb now..

Thanks.
