Hey guys I have pretty much a POS PC but it's fine for music, web browsing, round about last year it started acting up (fans kicking in on 100%, major lag and CPU Temperature Error press F1 to continue on boot up) All this has been going on for awhile and only happens when viewing videos or flash content, I dont even try playing flash games or using 720p on Youtube with out MAJOR lockups and the fans sounding like a jet taking off, So can any of you guys help me out? Here are the specs Im thinking are the problem (A new rig isn't going happen as i'm only 16 and finding a job)

Intel(R) Pentium D Dual Core at 3.00Ghz
2Gb DDR2 at 800Mhz
SiS Mirage 3 Onboard Graphics (Yes I know that's really crappy)

Here's the Speedfan Temps (Which are very high)

try inspecting the fan for any sort of dust build up, may be causing it to heat up or it could be that its just gave up and might need replacing with a new one

The Pentium D's run hot anyway, they are 2x pentium 4 cores just stuck on the same die, My D820 ran stupidly hot.
Clean out the case and fans, removing all dust.
Other options: reapply some thermal paste if you have it, the Intel stuff is average.
see if your board can take any of the core2duo range. they run a lot cooler and you can get low/mid range dual core ones for around £20 second hand now

This is almost guaranteed to be the cause. It's super common especially on the stock heatsinks the pentium D's were using around 5-6 years ago.

take the fan off the top of the heatsink and scrape away all the dust. It will be sitting ontop of it like loft insulation. Scrape it away, peel it off... whatever. Screw the fan back down and that should be you.

You wont need to reapply any thermal paste or do anything complicated. No worries there.

Let us know if this is the case?

Those coolers are dust magnets. Had a similar Zalman one which needed frequent cleaning as dust would form a layer between the airflow and the heatsink. Basically turned the heatsink practically into a passive cooler and would get very hot quickly.
