Think I might have found my "ticking" problem.....

Decided to find out what was making a distinctive "ticking" sound under the bonnet today.....

(sorry for the crap pictures, my camera doesn't seem to want to autofocus and there's no manual setting)

A pencil eraser sized hole right in the middle of the main conductor housing. It was arcing across there and making one hell of a racket. I think I'm just lucky it didn't ignite any fumes......

Oh, it's already been replaced. That hole was less than 4 inches away from an oil soaked block (rocker cover gasket's leaking).
