Hey all.

I buy eggs and usually fry em, but i do think sometimes i wish i had a few boiled eggs for a sarny now and then or maybe in the morning a few soft boiled ones with some dipping soldiers.

I could use a pan but lazy.

Rather was thinking of one of them 7 egg boiler machines on amazon but dunno which brand is any good as the only one i can name is a daewoo one for about 15 quid, the rest are i dunno. If i was to buy one, any idea which is a good one to get from the choices there. Prefer if it had a loud audio que when there done tho as i doubt id be waiting in kitchen till done.

I like the silver squarish one but its a bit pricy for just a egg machine. Even 15 i think is a bit much but id probs do 16 to get one but no more.

Anyone use these and found them useful for the lazy? Easy to clean?

I have one from asda, I cant remember the brand.
Does 6 eggs at once quick and easy with little water.

I dont think egg cookers have much difference in them really.

One of these is fine.
you own one ? seems to have an obvious design flaw.

if you need to do several, I'd go for a pasta type stainless basket, , which, like penguins, helps address the most common failure mode ->
thermal shock, or bouncing off saucepan base and cracking.

Why did you have to complicate something simple ?

How is that complicated, chuck a few ice cubes and some water into a bowl. Most people have access to a bowl, ice and water. You can even just chuck a bowl of water in the freezer while they cook if you don't have any ice cubes.

It doesn't require buying anything additional or any single use products.

Colder water will cool it to below 65c more quickly and lead to more consistent results, you're removing a variable and thus simiplfying the process.
