Think I'm going to fail Uni

Have you tried looking at working in other countries? I know it might sound a bit drastic but I know for sure that in other countries where the job market isn't so though, that it's easier to get a job based on your work portfolio only.

Any examples? Not that way from where i am sitting right now... :D

Law and medical are the best examples. To a lesser extent degrees in accounting can be very beneficial but definitely not the only method of entry into the industry. I do agree that many degrees are pretty pointless but they shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush.

You stated the following:

"You do realise that some very lucrative career paths require a degree? Of course you realise, you're just trolling."

The statement is true, there's no discussion mate. People in law and medicine can earn very nice salaries.

You seem to have a chip on your shoulder for whatever reason so I can't really be bothered.

Well, just got an email there outlining how I wont be able to progress to third year because I didn't have the marks. So, I'm gutted, have that awful sick feeling in my stomach like "what the hell do I do now?" but it's my fault, I messed up, life goes on.

I'll have to wait and join back in next year or move universities(which I actually wanted to do). In the meantime, it looks like I'll be heading for full time employment.

Same thing happened to me years ago, thought about leaving, moving uni, getting a job etc, instead I just accepted it and reapplied and studied hard and eventually got a 2:1 in Computer Science! Really isnt the end of the world mate happens all the time.

Unlucky man - life does go on though, so good luck with it :)
