Well i just cashed in some of my shares from work, so with some of this money i recieve think im gonna invest it in a Fuji X10. :)

I know there is a couple of problems with this camera mainly the orb blooming effect, and dust under the lens can be a problem but tbh both of these can be sorted by Fuji soon if one wishes to if it becomes a problem.

From what i've seen on Flickr some of the images from this camera are superb, considering the size of the sensor, I even go to say it actually better than some eariler M4/3 camera when it comes to noise control at high ISO ie the G1 ect.

I also like the Retro styling aswell.

Personally i think this would make the perfect camera for days out upto the Lakes ect & even round Southport " i have a soft spot for Southport" :D,
due to is smallish size, so not standing out like a DSLR would, plus giving me full control over it output should i wish to.

so im just wondering now if anybody has one, and what do they think of it?

Ive had mine for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it. I had a load of SLR gear a while ago and sold it all because I just couldn't be bothered with hauling it around. The X10 is such a handy and complete package that I bring it everywhere. The beauty about it is that it just works. No matter what the situation, I know I will be able to get useable pics and in ideal conditions the results can be wonderful.

I don't have any pics on this computer but here's a few I took in the few days after getting the camera having had a few monutes playing around with it...

I can see me having this camera for a long time :)

Beginning to think nobody had one, pictures look great did you shoot RAW or were they straight out of the camera?

I too have one, and i love it!

The retro looks drew me to it, but of course the image quality is fantastic also.

Personally, i'm going down a route where i've turned the lcd screen off, and just using the optical viewfinder.

I'm not even reviewing the pics until i get home, so it's a fun little challenge, and you end up with some awesome pics to boot!

JPEG straight from the camera. I think I may have shot these in Velvia film mode which I'm a big fan of as I used to shoot a lot of Velvia with my 35mm SLR.

Look superb, can't wait get my hands on the X10 now.
Shame they didn't make the lens 24-112mm & gave it a 100% optical veiwfinder, maybe we see that in the X20

I did do some PP with the first two, the last is untouched i think.

Nice thread - I'm going to have a play with one this week - Going to serious consider selling my DLSR gear as Scuzi said - i just can;t be bothered lugging it all around with 2 kids etc.

Holidays, cycling etc - this looks perfect.

I was gonna buy a dslr too but the siza of them is putting me off but judging by the quality of these shots i might go for one of these instead, how do they compare image wise and featurewise to say and entry level dslr at the same price?

Image wise, when you add some pp, you'll get some fantastic shots.

Even straight out of the cam, the pictures are crisp and clean, and in low light its still usable.

You won't be able to get the same bokeh as you would from a dslr, but it is achievable if you get creative with the macro. I'll upload a pic of said bokeliciousness a little later.

I also have an X10, it is a very competent little compact camera. I occasionally do find it a little small in size and I have small hands! the X100 is much better for size but a little restricting with its fixed lens.

Also I have not experienced any of the orbing people speak off.

That's a good enough review for me!:D
