Think its worth buying a new mac?

i have the MBP 2.33ghz, 2gb ram (soon to be 3gb) its going to be using a TB of external firewire drives.

not sure whether to buy another, its all for music production.
 
By means of a new mac, you mean desktop e.g. iMac or Mac Pro or another portable? Either way, I think it's abit of a "money not well spent" if your current MBP suits your needs.

Personally, save your money for other stuff or for the future, as rumours are burning about a new MacPro...

If you are going to get a new Mac wait until the new penryn based Mac Pros are released. They should blow everything else out of the water in terms of performance. They should be especially good for audio. I use my current Mac Pro for Logic Studio 8 and Final Cut Studio and performance is already fantastic.
 
Theres no Mac out there (except a Mac Pro) that is going to be poweful enough to be worth replacing your current model. Just save your money.
