Thanks for answering Haze's question guys. I'm in the same boat as him with a 9800 pro and Athlon64 3000. The only games I really play are BF2 and FEAR. Some of the maps in BF2 really slow down and I was looking and getting a new card to. Using the ATItool to overclock the 9800 wasn't really getting me far. I was looking at an x1650 at around £70-80 and had just about settled on one of them. Would I be better spending £20-odd more on a x1950? Would I notice the difference that much on my processor?

Any help much appreciated

Im guessing your running at 1280 x 1024 ? Or maybe lower on a 9800pro..

Get the 1950pro and you should be able to run them on mostly high settings ;)

Welcome to the forums. :)

Definately spend the extra £20, the x1950pro destroys the x1650.

What CPU do you have btw.

Having spent the evening reading through the forums on here, someone else was asking about replacing their 9800 pro and was told that a 7600 would be a good bet as the 1950 would be overkill for the processor. As I only have an Athlon XP3000 and 1 gig of ram, is this right? Would I be better with a 7600 or x1650?
Add to this, the fact that I'm looking for an AGP card and you can see its hardly cutting edge, but not enough money for that lovely E4300 I had my eye on overclocking:(
