I have my desktop and my Macbook going through my airport exteme, and i just share the drives and i can access them on the macbook.

It runs the same protocols and acts just the same, just with a different operating system.

Agreed, my Mac Networks to my Windows 2003 Server and Vista machine NO probs, but getting my Windows boxes to see the mac is a different story all together!

Although, I don't like the way OS X shares network drives. Dragging the mount into login items, then if you machine goes to sleep, so do they and you have to remount. I have Sleepwatcher running and I have a Applescript that runs and remounts on wake though, so its all good now... but they should fix that!

Indeed at work i connected mine to the wireless and straight away can access every computer on the network... Its not even on the domain
