thinking about classic mini

as the title says Im thinking about getting a classic mini for my first car. Ive got another 18 months before I can drive so I thinking about restoring one before I get my licene. so has anyone got any views?

the welding fixing maintaining is no problem but to me I want something with carbs! not a computer! (as much as I like them) XD

welding is no problem as we welded a hillman imp for my boss and a weber 45 sounds nice!
