Thinking about Core Duo - but what sort of memory?

Hi.

I've been playing with the idea of getting an amd4800, which will fit into my current mobo.

But now, with the good reports I've been hearing about the duo's I'm not too sure whether I ought really be switching over to intel.

I reckon I could afford a mobo and duo chip for not much more than a 4800. But the problem is that I'll have to buy ddr2 memory too. I need 2gb's, nothing too fancy - what should I be buying? what speed ddr2 memory is standard for duo setups?

Plus, suggestions for mobos would be good too.
