Dear all,

Had a few problems since owning my desktop PC for the past 4 years and previously to that I had a Samsung gaming laptop which was pretty high spec for it's time and worked great (still boots now with no issues).

Due to personal circumstances and the ease that a laptop offers I've been looking at the Lenovo Legion, Razer Blade 15 and a browse of the Dell range although I find it really hard to see any reviews for these... Budget is a max of around £1500 and ideally needs to be able to play COD:Cold War and a few of Steam oldies like CS etc.

Thinking of getting an external HDD to run my steam games so the main hard drive, preferably a SSD will hopefully only hold a few personal documents and COD.

Any pointers of what to look for are well appreciated.

Thanks

I would defo look into the Lenovo Legion range ie Legion 5P , trouble i am finding is the number of USB ports are very limited and some of the Lenovo Legion range only come with 8GB , Dell for me they are behind the times , dont like their configurations anymore ...... Its a hard choice have to say , i am very tempted to go AMD Ryzen 7 processor seen some really good reviews

Yeah, Dell/Alienware just seem so overpriced and behind everything else, a few YouTube vids show trouble generally running games on Dell due to the badly configured Alienware software and from seeing a mates Alienware laptop from years back their stuff always seems pretty horrible. After looking at Lenovo and Razer, I'm kind of swaying towards the Razer Blade 15 base model. These seem quite easy to upgrade if needed further down the line although are still very pricey. Turning out to be a right nightmare!

The Razer Blade 15 is a nice machine but apparently its a bit of a lottery whether you get a good one.
And then the customer service is meant to be awful if you ever need help from Razer.
I think the most common issue with Razer laptops is the battery swelling.
Not great considering how pricey they are.
