I guess I'll update this rather than post a new thread since I've had a few weeks playing with it.
The panel arrived and has remained, absolutely flawless, no dead/stuck pixels (as a first time LCD buyer, this was something I was worried about)
As a PC/TV/PS3 all in one it ticks all the right boxes for me at any rate. No noticeable ghosting in any games, and at 1080p the output from my PS3 is far superior to my previous TV. Originally connected to PC with VGA cable that came with it, have since swapped this for a DVI-D to remove the clunky adaptor I had for my graphics card. Blacks are extremely black, colours are vibrant, although I've left it pretty much as standard (i.e. uncalibrated - didn't feel the need to change much)
Input lag ? whats that ?

I'm not saying there isnt any, I'm just saying that with the games I play, I don't notice it if there is. This may be down to a condition I have, without going into massive detail, it takes longer for my body to react to signals my brain sends out, "Andrew Lag" if you like, particularly with regard to motor control tasks (not massively mind you

) which interestingly may compensate somewhat...
Not very scientific testing I will admit, but then as with all components I buy, I evaluate them on how well they perform with actual use, rather than how well they run benchmarks. I will of course run the set of monitor review files at some point and post results if necessary. The Irony of this all is that connected up to my standard Def Sky+ box, whilst picture quality is excellent, it kinda shows up the fact that it is standard definition lol (being a monitor rather than a TV I half expected this and it isnt really a problem, cant afford to upgrade to Sky HD atm

. Viewing angles are more than adequate for anywhere in my front room, beleve me I've tried

.
I'm sure it isn't perfect but I cant honestly find fault (a friend recently bought a 24" LCD as well and comparing the two, this blows the doors off it, mind you for 2.5 x the price it should, although right enough I didn't tell him that

)
I got a silver one... I wouldn't have minded a black one, but I'm used to the silver now and think it looks smart (maches the silver bezel on the PS3

)
The PiP (Picture in Picture) function is handy as I can game on PC and watch sky in a window lolol, especially since my PC and the Sky have separate sound outputs (bought a set of 2.0 Creative Gigaworks T40 desktop speakers and connected them directly to the Sky+ box, they do the job very nicely.
I think you can tell I'm extremely happy with my purchase...
cheers
Andrew
