Thinking about upgrading by 256mb X1800XT, suggestions?

I'd like to spend around the £150 mark. My ideas atm are the x1950pro or xt.

Yup, different core and 80nm I think but certainly not faster. Go for the x1950XT, it has more 12 more pixel shaders than the x1800XT/x1950pro.

My advice would be to save your money wait until R600/R610/R630 and the 8600s are out.

Simply not worth upgrading from an X1800XT at this moment.

Once I get my new card yes i will indeed be selling the x1800.

I think I have settled on the x1950xt by HIS. Also is there a big dif between the 256 and 512 versions?

Simply not worth upgrading from an X1800XT at this moment.

The main reason I want tp upgrade is that the x1800xt isn't coping that well at the native res of my monitor which is 1680x1050.

You won't get a massive boost in performance with an X1950XT

I would really recommend waiting for all the shiny new stuff to come out.
