Thinking about upgrading to HD4850x2

I'm looking for a bit of advice.

Currently I'm running a 9600GT Amp! in my Phenom 9950 system and I'm thinking about a graphics upgrade.

I noticed OC are selling HD4850x2 which runs on one pci-e slot. Would it be a worthwhile/big improvement in gaming performance in some of the more demanding modern games such as Farcry 2/GTA4/Crysis?

I'm also assuming my Corsair 520HX would be powerful enough to run it all. There is only 1 optical drive and 2HDDs.

Or am I worth waiting for any card in particular that's on the horizon?

Cheers

Hi there

Yes you should just get away with running it on the Corsair PSU as they are good quality and 4850 X2 power consumption is pretty low considering how powerful a card it is. :)

Is it not on par with the GTX280? The 2048mb will also help render more at once. If you get that version that is.

Cheers Gibbo.

Good to know power consumption will be met.

I'm not sure about it being on par with a GTX280 LeJosh, I'll have to look at some benchies.
