What makes you cringe the most?

Quite a few for me...

1. Drinking protein shakes silly amounts of times throughout the day, but no other proper sources of protein
2. Rounding my back on every back exercise and wondering why only my lower back felt strained
3. Spending 40 minutes or so on biceps alone
4. Letting my ego get in the way of my lifts
5. Not doing squats!!

So many funny incidents too, like not thinking I need a spot on beachpress and struggling with 40kg on my chest. Or my arms being so far forward on shoulder press I'm pretty much just working my tris and wondering why people gave me funny looks. Worst one though would when i had no real routine and I used to be one of those noobs who would do every muscle group in one workout

i was quite lucky... my first influence when i started lifting was Fred Hatfield (aka Dr Squat) so you can imagine my training started off on the right foot.

My biggest problem was I went into it totally clueless. I had no one around me that knew anything and didn't really do my homework. I learnt quickly though as I got involved on here quickly into it

I remember looking in the mirror and thinkng 'not bad...' when really I looked awful.

Running in terrible shoes and destroying my knees.

I'll keep thinking.
