Hi all, i am thinking of changing cars. I currently have a Focus C-Max 1.6 tdci and do 450miles a week commuting to work.
I have been looking at a used Saab 9-3 diesel, i only want to spend up to about 4k.
Any thoughts/opinions on these?
Thanks

You are aware SAAB went out of business and are now currently not being manufactured any longer? This makes parts more difficult to find and pushes the prices up...

Pretty sure Saab Parts department is still going, not the mention the endless after market suppliers. Finding parts for an older saab should not be difficult at all.

Yep - the first reply in the thread is mainly incorrect - I believe there are a couple of parts which are in short supply but in the main it's very very easy to get replacements.

Saabs are also dirt cheap - not my kind of car at all but you do get a lot of car for the cash

Yes, I know they went bust but most of the parts were made in conjunction with Vauxhall. I think it's the convertible parts that are getting hard to find.
You do get quite a bit of car for the money and whilst the c-max is ok, I would get similar mpg in the Saab and it would be a bit of a nicer place to be in for my 90 mile+ commute per day.
