Currently i have a ACER 24" G24 i find itt brilliant in a way but seem to have a small problem with White bleeding when its black. Basicly when anything fully white comes onto the screen when its dark "For example mouse cursor" Sometimes the fully black tends to go abit brighter also the left and right ratio is fine but the up and down if im abit lower than the screen the top can loose quality and in black conditions can toally loose details if its abit dark and even be white towards the edges. so think the viewing angles just abit rubbish. Whats good about it is the colour and brightness is fantastic it has 50000-1 contrast 2ms response time and generally is good.

Anyway basicly losing the screen is now loss as i may give itto someone els so i dont mind loosing itbut want to make sure i get a monitor which is much better. The pc i will have will be i7 @4ghz and cards over ATI 5800 or new NV if it comes out so will be able to take the high res which so thaught i would ask here which are really the best monitors and 1s that are much better than this 1. In the 24-30" range.

If you want the best monitors (especially ones with the best image quality and viewing angles) you will be looking at non-TN panel monitors (IPS and VA technologies), compared to the TN panel in your G24. Here is a good article that outlines the differences.

With this in mind, I would recommend this Dell U2410 (H-IPS) monitor, my friend Killari has this monitor and he thinks it's fantastic. It has also got a lot of great reviews. Also, it is backed up with a very solid dell warranty, so should enything go wrong - Dell will sort it fast.

I have got this particular monitor and I find it to be truly amazing (It uses an S-PVA panel). I constantly play movies and FPS games on it, and it handles them all spectacularly.

nec ones are pretty cool if money is no object.. have to say what your limit is

Not sure on price really i guess im looking to spend a lot but would really have to be good to spend a lot :) i mena £500 are ok and stuff aslong as the response time and pictures good. I love watching blurrays on my current monitor its fantastic but just the view angles up and down are bad. if it goes dark thep icture can disapear.
