Hi guys
I've had this W7 64 installation for probably years now and it's getting old and creaky, programs don't work as they should, explorer crashes randomly, Adobe programs refuse to work at times, so all in all I think a reinstall would be the best idea.
One thing I'm worried about is missing something important to backup before I wipe everything.
What happens to things like Steam? I have the installation on another drive but I know there are a lot of Steam files on the boot drive.
I think programs like Thunderbird and Firefox have backup programs for saving emails and bookmarks etc., so I'll be looking at those.
Basically, what's good practice before a reinstall? Or will just bunging the whole drive on a backup be good enough and then blast it?
