Hi all,

I'm flirting with the idea of buying a Mac Mini, I can only afford the entry level one is it worth £400?

My other question is If I wait until the new OS is released will it come with that?

Please offer me any other Mac related advise also, I've been a life long windows/pc user. I have a PC for gaming, I would like a mac however to widen my knowledge a bit - I work in a charity IT department and am looking for my next move. A lot of places use Macs how are they to maintain etc compared to windows?

Thanks

Ian

I had another question just pop into my head -

I have a home network and a file/print server running Windows 2003 R2. I read that getting Macs and Pc's to talk to each other is easy however in practice is this true?

I've ordered my mac mini, I stretched to the £499 one, I think it is better value for money for the super drive, larger hard disk and slightly faster processor.

It should see me out for a good 3 - 4 years i imagine because apple look after the installed user base (or so it seems)

I'll post pics of my setup when i get it and get a kvm going
