Thinking of buying a used XBox One DRM?

Looking for a quick answer.

I might be buying a Day One Forza 5 edition of Xbox one off MM and was wondering, if I wipe, restore and take ownership of the console do I still get to download Forza 5 and how is it associated with the console?

You cannot wipe it (the game) , but you can delete the other person's account and all will be fine. (thus you cannot format it but you can delete all the stuff you don't want including his account)

Only issue would be if they change their "home" console


It has two drms, one tied to the console and one tied to the account.
He can pplay it on any console and any account on his home console can play it.

I think this is the main problem and kind of makes these downloaded games worthless, if for whatever reason you have to change or format the hard drive you've lost the game :( they should have linked the games with the day 1 editions to the consoles serial number or something.
 
I've never had an issue with the Xbox I bought off metalface mark on here...

However the downloaded game was Fifa and we all know football isn't a real game :p

For what it's worth I'm sure within a year forza/dead rising will be on the games with gold program and you can download them from that.
