Hi there,

I'm subjected to a 30 minute train journey each way two and from work each day.

At the moment, the time spent on the train is dead- I don't do anything interesting - I bought a Nintendo DS but soon got bored of it.

I then thought about the possibility of buying an Ipod Video - or the new Video Nano and then watching podcasts on it during my journeys to and from work.

Are many TV shows available to download legally as podcasts - If things like the news, documentaries and various soaps are available freely, I may be tempted to buy an Ipod.

Anyone else do this?

Cheers

Theres loads of content you could play on your ipod. Download itunes and have a browse.

I always wanted to read on bus journeys but I couldnt without throwing up, so I used to listen to audiobooks. That and the ricky gervais podcast.

I started doing this with my hour commute to work each day, i caught up on so many films, half there, half on the way back, video podcasts and music are awesome too. It makes the travel time just fly by, well worth it :)

Actual TV shows you'll have to pay for or rip from DVD. There are some really great video and audio podcasts out there though. Diggnation and The 1up Show are both awesome. The BBC do a whole bunch of podcasts too which are well worth investigating.
