Hey guys currently got vista ultimate 64bit but thinking of changing to w7 home premium. i see the upgrade packs u can get what is the deal? does it just upgrade my vista to w7? of can i still do a clean install? also is the extra doller for ultimate worth it? seems like its not unless im missing something.

If you're interested in doing a clean install I would look at the Full Retail version and not the upgrade. For the sake of £27, if you can afford the difference, the full version is a lot more flexible. That said you can perform a clean install with Upgrade media, and there are guides out there.
