Thinking of downsizing case and cooler.

I'm currently running the huge HAFX case and Noctua D14. I want to downsize the case to give myself more room, and the cooler because it's huge and blocking a pcie port.

I'm looking at the NZXT S340 or the H440. I'm also interested in a AIO (NZXT X61, etc) as they look better and take up less space on the motherboard.

Can I expect similar cooling performance from these?

Another case to look at is the Phanteks P400. As for cooling a X61 will exceed the performance of the D14 easily as will the majority of 240mm+ water coolers.

I did similar and was trying to decide between the Define S and S340, I went with the Define S but the S340 is slightly smaller the build quality isnt supposed to be quite as good though, the H440 was out of my budget

I wanted Air Cooling as silence was one of my goals, from what I've read a 120MM AIO isnt going to cool as well as a D14 but I might be wrong on that, if the X61 is 120MM. 240MM+ will be better than a D14

I've got the H440 (in white)

It's on the large side, but certainly smaller than the Hafx.

Awesome cases that look great with the right kit inside them

The H440 is a nice case, I have it in black.

Before that I had a corsair carbide 500r which was also brilliant but the H440 has:

  • More room
  • Ability to have it very tidy - cables etc all hidden
  • Watercooling is an easy expansion if you want
  • Air cooling for me - improved

Here is a picture to show how it looks pretty crammed with multiple cards and a massive cooler lol!
