I need your thought please. I have never riden before but will be taking the riding course and my dad is a vet rider so will give me advise. I am thinking of getting a Kawasaki Ninja 650R, hopefully in blue as it will compliment my 2005 Tiburon (coupe)

Thought please.

Im in the same boat, done my CBT earlier this week and have lessons leading up till my test in March.
Im thinking about getting an SV650S for a first bike though, quite a few people have recommended them.

Buying a race bike in texas will be a waste, bearing in mind you start to get wrist ache and back ache if you stay below 80mph for mor ethan about five minutes.

I was interested in the bike idea but then decided I don't want to die yet so went for the more expensive option of having the little MX-5 as a 2nd car. Biking does still appeal but I'm loving the "sportscar" thing at the moment. Best of all, I still have the Xantia for making fast comfortable and cheap motorway cruises.

An mx-5 isn't a sports car. Also aslong as your sensible on a bike your not going to instantly die. Self control should help stop that :)

You're right, it's just a soft-top with wonderful handling, rear wheel drive and a small engine.
