thinking of getting a dslr (300d)

ive been offered a few things

a 30d with a efs 15-55mm lense

a 300d body boxed with no lense but i could get a Sigma DC 18-200mm F3.5-6.3

how much is each body and lense worth? Ive been told to make an offer if i want them.

also how much is a remote release for a 300d worth?

The 30D plus 18-55mm would be worth ~£500 if it's in good shape and not heavily used/abused. I'd offer about £450 myself and go from there.

The 300D is worth £200-£220 body only. The remote release is worth from peanuts to I guess about £15 depending on if its an original Canon one or not.

You'd probably save money in the long run by going for the 30D over the 300D and shelling out for a lens on top of that, and wanting to upgrade it later. You could consider the 20D also. It's 9.5 tenths of the 30D but sells for about £400 with the 18-55 kit lens.
