thinking of getting a sound card

ok as title i'm thinking about getting my first sound card, would i noticed a big difference between the sound and would it take much pressure of the cpu? atm i'm only using onboard sound.

i'm looking at this card:

Not sure if getting a graphics card will help your sound much.

I'd personally get the Xtreme Music sound-card for a few pounds more, don't be deceived that because it has the word "Gamer" in it that's its neccasarly better at Gaming, but both the Xtreme Music & Gamer sound-cards sound great and defiantly worth the money in my opinion.
