Thinking of getting an AMD x2 cpu. What are...

the drivers I have to get to prevent stuttering in programmes and games. If its of any consequence, I plan to get an ATI graphics card (I heard Nvidia had additional driver dual core conflict issues).

Finding out as when spending money on the system, I dont want the machine to be limited by software, and want it to run as fast as possible, without the stuttering and bad cpu allocation issues I heard have plagued some people.

also i think if you have trouble you can set the game to run on one core

Never had any problems between my Nvidia Graphics card and my X2.

Try reading this thread, there is a lot of info and what drivers are needed for the X2.

another thing you may have to flash your bios to recognise a dual core cpu... depends on your mobo tho... most of the new ones u wont need to flash
