Hi, I am thinking of getting this laptop, basic specs are

Intel i9-13980HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Windows 11

From what i can find on this laptop, it seems like it's 1 ram stick. Does ram being dual not really make much odds these days? I haven't bought a new laptop for a while, so not sure if it still matters as such.
If they are still better in dual mode, it's odd they would opt to create a pretty expensive laptop with just single stick if it would be faster with 2 x 16gb.
Thanks
James

Ok well after googling it and reading a good few posts about it, 2 modules running dual channel is still advisable even with ddr 5.

I wonder why on a laptop thats pretty expensive and advertised as powerful etc, they opted to have the ram running at an inferior speed

Says it has two ddr5 slots, doesn't state single stick only used. Maybe 2 x 16GB or if a single 32GB stick then you can easily add another 32GB stick to make it 64GB too.

Memory

32GB DDR5 SO-DIMM
- Max total system memory up to: 64GB

Expansion Slots (includes used)

- 2x DDR5 SO-DIMM slots
- 2x M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0x4

Also on main page it states :-

Up to

64 GB RAM

5,200 MHz DDR5, dual upgradable SO-DIMM slots
