I use a Syncmaster T260 atm, I really like it but I keep seeing posts on forums about 1440p being loads better than 1200p. Is it?

Also whats with these korean Yamakasi's. Anyone got one they can review for me. Any links for reputable sellers?

Any specific monitor suggestions?
Budget up to £300 maybe more ( you don't get rich by spending money! )

Also 27 inch is about all I can fit in my little alcove.

That is all :)

1440p is nice if you can drive it properly, yes. And you should be fine with your SLI.

The Yamakasi Catleap are Korean imports, 1440p IPS panels, and their party trick is that you can overclock them for a refresh rate of up to ~120hz. Many report having a good experience with them, but I'd wary if I were you. And its against the forum rules to post competitor links, so we can't help you there.

If you want a 1440p screen @ 27" then either of these are pretty good choices. I have the Hazro which is a nice monitor, but the DGM's are meant to be pretty good as well and are a bit cheaper.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Hazro HZ27WB 10-Bit 27" Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black £399.95
1 x DGM IPS-2701WPH 27" LED Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black £359.99
Total : £774.94 (includes shipping : £12.50).

The dgm is nice but budget in a wall mount or desk mount as the stand is pants but that may also be made worse due to my desk isn't too solid but since I wall mounted and it's much nicer
