My Current Contract with O2 runs out on the 27th Sept & i'm seriously considering the iPhone 3G but i have a few questions i'm hoping one of the experts here can help me with.

I currently have the O2 Argon XDA using Windows Mobile 5 where i have all my contacts & Calender Appointments. Is there a way i can get the iPhone to see & copy all my contacts & Calender from my XDA ?. i use Outlook 2002 which is needed to synch the XDA to my Pc using Active Synch. I've seen somewhere that the iPhone uses MS Exchange but i don't have an Exchange Server.

Idon't want to have to enter 1 by 1 each contact & Calender Appointment as i have a lot ( I'm a driving instructor & have loads )

I also have iTunes already from my old iPod nano. Version 7.7.1.11.
Will i need the version that comes with the iPhone for it to activate ? If so will it overwrite all my tunes i have downloaded ?

These are my 2 main concerns. Any advice is welcomed & appreciated ;)

iTunes is completely independant from the Library (Music and other stuff) it's esentially a frontend application. You can run the latest version of iTunes with any iPod or iPhone it will see that you have an existing library and use it, iTunes never deletes music when installing or upgrading. One thing to keep in mind is that any tracks you have bought from the iTunes Store cannot be re-downloaded (unlike something like Steam where you can download purchased content as many times as you want) so make sure you have a backup (a whole library backup is a good idea in general anyway).

Superb stuff guys that what i needed to know :D

I see that i'll need to upgrade to Outlook 2003 at least as i have 2002.

Thx once again. I will now get the iPhone @ the end of the month :D
