Thinking of getting the UD4 but what is the risk of the sata degrading?

Yesterday my brand new PC died due to an electrical fault  So I have been looking around the Sandybridge motherboards and the UD4 caught my eye. I know from gigabyte's 1336 motherboards they are great for overclocking. Although, I have been reading about the Sata ports 2-5 degrading over time. Is this the case with all motherboards? Or is it only a small amount? If so how much are they at risk? Cheers :)

no one can answer those questions with any accuracy, there's a design flaw that affects all B2 chipsets, how many will fail, and over what time scale remains to be seen. there are allready B3 UD4's available if you shop around, if it was me, i most certainly would not build a new rig with a UD4-B2 knowing i could get a B3 variant now.

Thanks, that is a big help! I didn't realise that gigabyte are now selling b3 UD4s. Cheers ;)
